On Saturday, 14 November 2026, between 6 and 8 pm, Podsreda Castle will host its very first »Castle Toast to Wine«. The evening brings together the castle’s rich heritage, excellent local wines and a touch of mysterious adventure.

How the evening works
A wine tasting with a difference
This time, the wine tasting won’t follow the usual format. An interactive castle exploration awaits, combining hidden corners of the castle, small challenges and a tasting of selected wines.
On arrival you will receive a tasting glass and a secret map that guides you as you explore the castle rooms on your own. Your task is to find four hidden rooms, where selected wines from the renowned, multi-award-winning Jug Winery from Dobležiče await you.
But the path to the wine treasures won’t be entirely simple!
Among the ancient castle walls, various challenges will add a touch of castle mystery and adventure to your exploration.

Participation is free for all visitors, but registration is required to help us with the organisation. Entry is possible at 18:00, 18:30, 19:00 or 19:30 – each time slot has a maximum of 30 places; choose yours when registering below.

Join us for an evening where castle secrets meet the wine tradition of Kozjansko, and experience Podsreda Castle in a slightly different way.
The event is part of the »Utrip gradu Podsreda« project, which focuses on developing sustainable tourism experiences in Kozjansko Park and the Kozjansko and Obsotelje Biosphere Area. Within the project, visitors can attend the event free of charge.
The operation is co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Slovenia under the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan 2023–2027.
