Podsreda Castle is a popular place for exchanging wedding vows, offering a unique, luxurious, and fairytale ambiance for your special day. The stunning medieval castle building of the Podsreda Castle lies in a green oasis of a regional park and includes an estate with six luxury suites and rooms.

Podsreda Castle offers an unforgettable experience for those looking for an exclusive location for intimate celebrations, whilst our halls and atriums can also accommodate more lavish weddings of up to 100 guests with all the unique features that only a 12th-century castle can offer. Weddings and receptions at our castle can take place outdoors, in the castle courtyard under the mighty chestnut trees, in the central castle atrium, or in the beautiful Renaissance Hall, our official wedding venue.

Whatever your wedding style, there's no denying that the thought of exchanging vows with your chosen one in the Castle Wedding Hall or the medieval atrium, accompanied by the music of your choice, is a very special experience.

So, feel extra "royal" on your wedding day with a wedding at Podsreda Castle. Our most common wedding day consists of a reception in the castle courtyard, a wedding ceremony in the Renaissance Hall, and a reception in the atrium. However, as we understand this is your special day, we are always ready to accommodate your wishes.

Wedding facilities

Renaissance Hall

The Renaissance Hall is located on the castle's second floor and covers an area of almost 100 square meters - it is the most ceremonial room in the castle. The hall displays prints donated to the castle by Kurt Müller, representing clothing and furnishings in the Middle Ages. The hall is the official wedding venue.

North Palacio

The oldest part of the castle, the northern palace, built around 1150, was once the owners' living quarters. Since 2008, a permanent exhibition of paintings by the academic painter Franc Slana has been on display in these rooms. Works in oil on canvas from different periods of the artist's career decorate the five rooms with different themes.

Atrium

The atrium of Podsreda Castle is a popular place for getting married on warm days, and we can arrange it according to your wishes (wedding table and massive chairs for the bride and groom and witnesses, flags, etc.) and wooden chairs for approximately 80 guests.

Outside courtyard

The outdoor courtyard in front of Podsreda Castle offers a unique view of the entrance to the castle building with the defence tower rising above it, as well as views of the surrounding forests and the valley landscape, and its size makes it the perfect choice for large wedding ceremonies.
