Prešeren Day at Podsreda Castle – FREE ADMISSION

 

On Sunday, 8 February 2026, we invite you to celebrate the Slovenian Cultural Holiday with us.

We are joining a nationwide initiative in which cultural institutions across Slovenia open their doors to visitors on this special day. Join the celebration and explore the rich cultural heritage offered by our castle.

On this day, you can explore the beautiful castle interiors free of charge, discover various exhibitions and collections, visit the Kozjansko Park Visitor Centre, and browse the castle shop filled with local delicacies and souvenirs.

Families and curious adventurers can also enjoy the popular TREASURE HUNT, leading you through the castle’s most mysterious corners.

With the help of MR glasses and interactive technology, you can step into the past and experience the stories of former castle residents in a unique way. Discover our new virtual experience and book THE TALES OF COUNT COLDSKI.

Podsreda Castle will be open from 10:00 to 16:00.

Podsreda Castle Café will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00.
