Friends of the castle, you are cordially invited to join us on SUNDAY, 3 December, in a festive atmosphere at the event “The Merry Day of Culture”, when we will open the gates of Podsreda Castle for FREE.

On Sunday, 3 December, Slovenia celebrates “The Merry Day of Culture”, which marks the birthday of our greatest poet, František Prešeren, who was born on 3 December 1800 in Vrba.

On this day, cultural institutions all over Slovenia usually open their doors to visitors free of charge to stimulate interest in various artistic trends, and it will be no different here at Podsreda Castle, where FREE ADMISSION will be open to all visitors all day long.

Visitors will be able to see the castle premises, the many interesting exhibitions and collections, the Visitor Centre of the Kozjan Park and the Kozjansko and Obsotelje Biosphere Area.

Don’t forget to visit the castle’s local produce shop, where we have prepared gift packs of local delicacies to make it a little easier for you to buy festive gifts for your loved ones.

Podsreda Castle will be open from 10 am to 4 pm.
